The Kruger National Park with the Big 5 and lots of other Animals and wide range of Bird Live, it is a must to visit. Do not miss the small things, tortes, lizards, plants, etc.

To drive along Marloth Park border with the Kruger National Park on the banks of the Crocodile River for +- 16km is some times more successful with its amazing view onto the river and wildlife that come to drink water.
To walk, jog, mountain bike in the wild, you cannot miss this one. To sit at a fireplace or "braai" while the animals come and visit you and listen to all the night sounds... a Lion Roar & Hyena Laughs.

Kruger National Park – Crocodile Bridge Entrance (distance from lodge +/-20km). Traveling time needs to be taken into account when travelling to Crocodile Bridge Entrance as Marloth Park does have speed limits of 30km/h on gravel roads and 50km/h on main roads. During peak seasons, the queue at the Kruger Park gates could also cause a delay.

Tip: Mark activities on google maps to make this easily navigable from our Lodge premises. We highly recommend to plan your visit to these areas over two days to get the best value for your time.
Visit the Sudwala Caves on your way to Doringpoort Lodge. Simply departing from JHB early would provide you with enough time to stop off at the Sudwala Caves, before traveling to Doringpoort Lodge. Kindly keep in mind when travelling during peak times as traffic might cause a delay. Leave early enough to stop allow time for stops along the way, but late enough so as to miss the early morning rush.
Alzu is a great halfway stop.
Maputo is only 100km away. (Trips to Mozambique can be arranged.)
Swaziland is only 30 Minutes drive away.
